Gulbis Romā pārvar arī trešo kārtu

Romas ATP Masters tenisa turnīra trešo kārtu viegli pārvarējis latvietis Ernests Gulbis, kurš trijos setos ne bez pūlēm pārspēja mājinieku Filipo Volandri 6:2 3:6 7:6.
Pēc līdzīga sākumā, kurā abi tenisisti līdzīgi kā sieviešu tenisā labāk spēlēja servējot pretiniekam, Gulbis izvairījās no kļūdām un salīdzinoši vienkārši uzvarēja 5 geimus pēc kārtas un visu pirmo setu.
20 kļūdas otrajā setā ļāva Volandri izlīdzināt spēli un iepriecināt gandrīz 10 000 skatītāju pilno Foro Italico (spēle notika centrālajā kortā jo organizatori bija paredzējuši šodien laukumā redzēt Rodžeru Federeru :)
Cetrdaļfinālā Gulbja pretinieks būs Ivans Ļubičičs vai Felisiano Lopezs.
